The Sage HMIS Reporting Repository was developed by PCL for the collection of annual reports from recipients of Continuum of Care Program and Emergency Solutions Grant Program funding through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Data for these projects are collected in the local Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) or comparable database then aggregated and uploaded to Sage using a set of Comma Separated Value (CSV) files as specified by HUD. The Sage HMIS Reporting Repository is used by HUD to analyze the programs funded by the Department as well as to provide a base for national research on homelessness.

HUD provides detailed information about Sage on the HUD Exchange through the Sage HMIS Reporting Repository page.  Recipients can find user guides for entering reports into Sage, webinars and virtual trainings, and other pertinent information.  HMIS data collection information, data standards, and HMIS program manuals for system set-up are also available on the HUD Exchange through the HMIS Guides and Tools page.

User questions are only answered through the HUD’s Ask A Question portal.  If you have questions regarding Sage, the CoC Annual Performance Report or the ESG CAPER Report please submit them to Ask A Question. Select Sage when prompted on screen 2.
